Mike Stanchina

Mike brings more than a decade of bulge bracket investment banking experience and six years of commercial banking experience to his role of managing director. He excels at creating shareholder value for clients across a variety of industries, including diversified industrials, homebuilding, building products, transportation, equipment rental, chemicals and distribution. Mike has successfully executed more than $50 billion of M&A and capital markets transactions, including a $19 billion leveraged buyout, a $388 million lead left IPO, many initial and follow-on equity offerings, and numerous high-yield bonds and leveraged loans. He also assisted with a $5 billion stock-for-stock buy-side engagement.

Mike’s previous investment banking experience spans several Wall Street firms, including Banc of America Securities, Merrill Lynch & Co. and Deutsche Bank. Prior to his banking career, Mike was an engineer in the private sector. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear submarine officer from 1993 until 2000. From 1995 to 1998, he was assigned to the fast attack submarine, the U.S.S. Billfish (SSN-676), deploying to the Mediterranean twice, the Aegean, the Adriatic, the Northern Atlantic, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal and the Pacific Ocean. Mike also served as an operations specialist and instructor at the P3 Orion Maritime Patrol Aircraft Training Squadron, VP-30, from 1998 to 2000. Mike has a bachelor’s degree in ceramic engineering, cum laude, from Clemson University. He graduated cum laude with an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and is a certified Navy Nuclear Engineer with the U.S. Navy.

Mike resides in South Tampa with his family. When not at work, he is active in his local church, and enjoys playing golf and practicing yoga.
